British aviation on the telly
I'm not sure if I'm the only one here with a telly ...
Anyway, if you've got a friend with a set pay them a visit on Wednesday evening at 2100! BBC4 are showing the first part of a two parter on British aviation. This one covers military aviation in the 50s and 60s.

Re: British aviation on the telly
Well I know nostalgia isn't what it used to be but I thoroughly enjoyed watching that last night.
Couldn't really fail - Meteors, Vampires, Vulcans etc. etc. etc. great
Cheers

Re: British aviation on the telly
It's on iPlayer.
I haven't watched it yet as I rarely watch live TV any more. It all gets stored on the Sky+ Box and I watch it when I feel like it. Skipping ads and pausing to get another beer - I love it when technology works for you

Absolutly fantastic programme..Pt 2 is I guess next week - [yes it is, I've just checked Radio Times.] A well filled hour, even including the John Derry crash & the TSR2 fiasco, but includes some modern filming, the meteor at Coventry, the Lightnings at Brunty & XH558 of course.
As mentioned above, as it's BBC 4 these programmes are bound to come round again, & most welcome they'll be too.
