Oi've got a brand new ...

Post by speedbird591 »

... combine 'arvester :tunes:

I was cycling along the edge of a field today and got a close up view of this beauty. It looks like something from Thunderbirds. Awesome, dudes

But just a bit further down the track I came down a hill and round a corner to be confronted by a small herd of bullocks between me and the gate. I've been chased by these things too many times and prefer to take a detour than take them on. But this time, on the other side of the gate were a couple of hikers who were obviously a bit nervous about going into the field. I could sense them settling down for a bit of entertainment when they saw a mad mountain biker tearing down the hill towards the beasts, so there was no way I could back down. I decided to use my secret weapon. I've got a little dinger for getting old ladies out of the way on the towpath so I dinged as loudly as I could as I headed straight for them. They reluctantly stood up and shuffled to one side to let me through and I was feeling very pleased with myself until there was just one left laying down right in the middle of the path. It wasn't until I was almost on it that I realised it was twice as big as the others and had a ring through its nose  I skidded to a halt a few feet away from it with nowhere to run and a steep hill behind me and nothing left to do except ... ding ... and it slowly stood up and shuffled to the side. The hikers were dead impressed. I was dead lucky to get away with it. :worried:

Ian :)

Great story! Glad to hear that there are real modern day heroes! :agree:

Dave, I think that big "2" on the side is a bragging tool: I've got so many of these little blighters that I have to number them to keep track.
On the back bumper, there's a sticker saying "My other harvester is a Ferrari"
Cheers, Mike.

I just put on my ugly face.

Anyway .. I reckon you're ready for the running of the bulls now. I'll be on the look out for the bloke
hightailing it down the alleyway.. pulling on his dinger.

'My other harvester is a Ferrari' is presumably stuck on the back of your Lamborghini?

Hi Keith,
Pythagoras here, just popped over from the Puns post.
It looks odd at first sight, doesn't it, those rapid horseless carriage makers making agricultural implements.
Neverthelopulos, it's good to see that you modern people have built such gargantuan devices to gather the A crop olis.
According to Nigel, I'm dead. Bet he'll miss me when I'm gone.
Pythagoras.
Cheers, Mike.
