I'm not certain how this popped up in YouTube as a recommended video link, as I was watching a Radiohead video, but it's a very interesting bit on a BA 747 going through a D check. I found it fascinating not only because they show bits of the 74 one wouldn't normally see, but it shows how much effort is really involved in the checks.
I was puzzled about the claim it was a first time BA had allowed this as there was a documentary back in the eighties or early nineties called "A Tale OF Two Cities" covering a 747-200 that had just gone back into service after a major and one that went into the bay and was stripped right down.
