P3D McLeland Field...

P3D McLeland Field...

The structure is now complete except for tree planting. The Traffic will have to wait for P3D version 2 next year:-

Image
I settled for my old terminal buildings as the more modern ones were not as nice. One nice spin off from putting in my old terminal buildings was that the animations on the wind farm rotors and my airport radar now work again...There was no rotation with the FSX models and the old rotating models from FS9 were in the same file as my old terminals and my setup prefers them and uses them instead of the FSX ones.

Image
I put in the ring of fire for air display days only, with a desktop toggle.

Image
Turf Green is complete except for a few markers that I will eventually find and the ravine is now filled with water.

Image
I like the reflective water very much.

Image
The ring of fire is improved in P3D as the smoke went the wrong side of clouds in FS9 and this is now corrected.

Thanks for looking :fly:

That looks wonderful, Peter. You have been working hard. When does the first freighter arrive from the UK with scotch, sausages and proper beer?

Hi peter, what kind of radar do you need/have? I have a watchman radar that was provided to me for my Spadeadam scenery. If you download the powerpack 4.1 from mutlys hanger there is some animated wind turbines that i guess you could point to use?

No need Chris...They all work very nicely now that they are using FS9 flies...It was only the FSX versions of those files that do not rotate :)

You do know that IFR AI works OK in Prepar3d? It's the VFR flight plans that don't show. I'd have thought a daily supply run from Anchorage would be essential to keep the construction workers in Mooseburgers

BTW did you pick up in my other post about the SP2 patch for Pacific Fjords? You might have missed it if you we're busy supervising the building work!

Ian :)
