After The Honeymoon

Post by Tomliner »

A young couple were married and went away on their honeymoon.
Upon their return, the bride immediately rang her mother:

"Well," demanded her mother, "how was the honeymoon?"

"Oh, Mum!" she exclaimed, "the honeymoon was wonderful!  So romantic..."

Then she suddenly burst into tears. "But, Mum, the instant we returned, Sam started using the most foul language -- things I'd never heard before!   I mean all these dreadful, four-letter words! You just have to take me home..." she wailed, "PLEASE MUMMY!"

"Sarah, dear Sarah," coaxed her mother, "Do calm down. You need to remain with your husband and sort this out. Now, tell me, what could be so dreadful? - and WHICH four-letter words are you referring to?"

"Please don't make me tell you, Mum," wept the daughter, "I'm so embarrassed – they're just too degrading!  COME AND TAKE ME HOME, PLEASE!!"

"Dearest child, you have to tell me what has upset you so. Tell your mother these horrible four-letter words!"

Uncontrollably sobbing, the bride gasped,
"Oh, Mummy..., he used words like: dust, wash, iron, and cook...!"

"I'll pick you up in twenty minutes," announced her mother.
