... some drinking ensues. As is normal Carbon and Aluminum drink too much of the "black stuff" and begin arguing between themselves while Steel remains on his stool sipping his VSOP quietly watching the two young bucks go at it.
"Vertical compliance!" shouts Carbon.
"Laterally stiff!" retorts Aluminum.
"Oh yeah? High modulus!" fires back Carbon.
"Power transfer!" counters Aluminum.
Steel, still sitting on his stool savoring the VSOP, has pretty much had enough of this, reaches behind the bar and grabs a ball peen hammer.
THWACK THWACK!!!
Steel nails the top tube of the two loudmouths and they both crumple to the ground in agony.
"Why did you do that?!" pleads both Carbon and Aluminum almost in unison.
"In all your arguing you forgot 'resilience' and 'repairability'...I figured you needed a lesson in both."
Steel replaces the hammer behind the bar, sips the last of the VSOP, and rides away...
SO, guess what I bought yesterday?
That's right an aluminum bike.
And gues what I did to it today? I broke it.
