Reis Leming - the first non-Briton to win the George Medal

Post by Paul K »

307 people died in the floods that struck the east coast of England on the night of January 31st 1953. Had it not been for the efforts of a certain USAF airman based at Sculthorpe, the death toll would have been even higher. Thanks Reis, may you rest in peace.

What a great story. 'Cut off his legs'

Bless him, what a brave thing to do.

I often wonder if I'd do what was necessary if the situation confronted me. But the answer's always the same... Nah :$

Ian :)
