Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

FlyTexas wrote:*ahem* The Mayans lived in my time zone...GMT -6 hrs. We're not out of the woods yet. ;) If 12/20/12 was our last day on this planet so be it. I spent a lovely evening with my sons and the former Mrs. FlyTexas. Texas ribeye steaks on the grill, baked potato and salad, with plenty of Merlot. The oldest son brought a little whiskey with him but I refuse to drink whiskey that comes from a plastic bottle.

Brian

plastic's OK if there's a teat attached, but otherwise.....

Sorry to hear that Mrs. FlyTexas is "the former." That's always sad. :((

End of the world update from Glasgow:

Plagues of dishevelled, pale-skinned, incoherent degenerates roaming the streets. Hygiene is a problem and people have taken to living in squalid conditions.

But if I see anything unusual I'll let you know.

Ian :)

Yep, not the happiest thing I've ever gone through :( but it wasn't exactly the end of the world either. We're still good friends so that makes it a little easier. :)

You are all speaking too soon ! The Mayans plainly operated on a time zone just to the East of the International date Line e.g. Midway or Samoa ( GMT - 11 hours)
