HU BBC2 21.30 Tonight
James May's Toy Stories:Flight Club.It seems that he looks at the enduring appeal of model aircraft. It should be an hours entertaining viewing(hopefully).

Re: HU BBC2 21.30 Tonight
For those forum members who missed Mr May last night.
He succeeded, at the second attempt, and with much help from many sources, in filming the mid-air launch of a glider from 9000ft over the Bristol Channel and setting a new record for distance flying in an unpowered aircraft of about 22 miles. The record flight took place in perfect weather from over the North Devon coast to Lundy Island.
Astonishingly the glider had been programmed to land on the airstrip on Lundy and ended its flight 20 ft to one side of the Lundy runway.
Well worth watching, even my wife who is not really an "aircraft" person was fascinated by the whole programme.
Originally Mr May had planned to make that attempt from Dover to France but the French authorities were not happy at the prospect of an unmanned drone arriving on their homeland so witheld permission for the attempt.
