Very good Peter but I couldn't get past the awful, totally wrong bird noises. For a start there are no crows here. This is what they should sound like - http://www.teara.govt.nz/en/small-forest-birds/1/1
Nothing wrong with those Merlins though
It seems just exactly as I saw it all those years ago but I am familiar with Mitre Peak as I have a Poster picture of it framed on the wall of my bedroom at the foot on my bed. I have always liked that mountain and tried to keep it as the main backdrop to my video. There is also a waterfall over to the right side of the fjord looking from the airfield towards Mitre Peak then about 60 degrees to the right...I didn't go near it while videoing but flew up to it while exploring. It is active in the scenery and I remember on my real visit the little boat trip took us close to it. The dense vegetation is all very well done and since I have locked my sim to Autumn here, it is Spring there.
I'm looking forward to some more exploring of the South Island, probably on the routes that we toured in a hire car...We did two full circuits of South Island on two separate visits.
BTW...I don't think those were crows making that cawing noise, I think it is an indigenous bird that Kiwis regard as a bit of a nuisance, but I can't remember its name
Thanks Peter!
Tight routine.
Surprised how aerobatic it was so soon after take off.
Didn't see the rudder swing, did you do ground turns by differential brakes, differential RPM?

If you look again and wait for the final tight turn to park, you will see full rudder plus a bit of diff brake and you will see the tailwheel swing to about 80 degrees and then pull back to central as I straighten and stop. On the straight taxiway at the beginning, you won't see the rudder move as I was using the autorudder from aileron movement...Sadly that does not work for take-off and if you don't actually move the rudder then you tend to put a wheel off the side like I did
I do not have rudder pedals, so to move the rudder I have it on a four way hat on my stick...Up and Down is elevator trim and Left and Right is rudder. You will only see the rudder move when I thumb that switch left or right. Autorudder only has effect when you move the ailerons but the model's visible rudder does not actually move with autorudder.
One of these days I will get some rudder pedals and then I can dispense with autorudder
Obviously missed that!
Before I bought my 2nd hand CH yoke & pedals, I had an ancient joystick rigged to a wooden board with wooden pedals. It worked fine. Mine was at least 20 years old. you might get one from your local rubbish tip if they have a shop there. Doesn't matter if the buttons are shot, you only need one working axis.
Yes Mike, I have considered that in the past but I never got around to it...I may well decide this year to buy a top of the line set of pedals, but I'm not sure that Madame would be too keen on me screwing them to the floor
