A380-800 Landing at KSFO Cockpit Video

Post by nigelb »

Approach and landing of a Lufthansa A380-800 at San Francisco. Clear as a bell video with great views of the Bay area. Includes pilot communications with ATC. Around 14 and a half minutes long. I know it's a scarebus and rather an ugly plane but I ws amazed how familiar the instrument panel looked and at the beautiful scenery.

Great. I particularly liked the call-out:

ATC. "To AXMUL"

Captain. "To where?"

Hi nigelb,

She might be a rather ugly plane to some but she does grow on you,

I live in the SE of England and see quite a few A380's daily in and out of Heathrow or overflying us to and from the US, when i first saw the A380 i must admit she could have done with perhaps with a longer Nose!

This is one i tracked over the UK via Flightradar24 and just after midnite christmas day i tracked eight A380's going mainly from London to the Far East and Australia, there are quite a few now flying about Eighty or more i believe,

Thanks for posting the video.

How can you say she's Ugly!!! ;)

Cheers,

Roger.

Hi Nigel.

Thanks for posting that! A very well covered, professionally produced, landing of a 380. I, as George, found the call out to the co pilot - Where?! ...amuuzing.
