Re: A change of steed...
Well it was the only clue that I gave you...the date ruled out anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere because it is Winter here and the picture does not look like Winter...Ian saw straight away that it had to be in the Southern Hemisphere where it is Spring
I don't think that was too obtuse!

Re: A change of steed...
Anyway, I had a very pleasing flight over Auckland and was extremely impressed with the scenery...I made some recordings and will use them tomorrow to get some screenshots or maybe even make a short video

Elementary, my dear Watson (for a BOAC boy who had to consider every trip whether to pack t-shirts and speedos or mukluks and a furry anorak in his Globetrotter).petermcleland wrote:I don't think that was too obtuse!
I also deduce that, as Auckland is on North Island, you've also blown the remainder of your winter fuel allowance on FTX NZNI as well as South Island
You old devil! I look forward to seeing the pictures!

Re: A change of steed...
Well my deer stalking was not sufficiently expert to get close enough for a fair shot, but my friends that I was with were more successful and I enjoyed sharing their venison...I do eat meat!Airspeed wrote:Peter..... you K I L L E D their animals!?
BTW...I was much more successful with the fishing and caught a lot of Trout, which we all enjoyed eating.
