Yes mate.. you're probably right. Despatch from the UK Warehouse is particularly fast I must say and their postage is reasonable.

There are a few models available from the UK Warehouse I'd like to try. I quite fancy the Tiggie even though I don't have a suitable takeoff area. I'm sure it'd hand launch ok but I'd have to suffer the inevitable nose-over landings I want a decent helicopter too but that's another story Oh.. and add the E-Flight Mig-15 and PKZ Spit MkIX. Dear me.. the list goes on and on

People whinge at how they are undermining the good old LMS/LHS (Local Model/Hobby Shop), but I'm sorry, with the price difference (sorry, not paying £25 for a motor or LiPo when you can get a reasonable quality one for a tenner including postage) there is no other option. If I exclusively shopped from UK stores I couldn't go flying model aeroplanes. As an example, I bought an e-flite Lightning (F-5/P-38) from my local shop (Hurrah!). Had I bought the e-flite powerset, it would have cost the best part of £100. Identical motors, but with a Turnigy sticker vice e-flite (and ESC etc) - about $45 with postage.

That's so true mate. OK.. some of their models are a bit short on detail (the Bixlers control horns are crap!) but if you read the users reviews beforehand, you get a good idea of what you're gonna be getting so prepare for it.

I picked up a 2200mAh 3S Turnigy Li-Po in one of their sales a few weeks ago for less than $5. You just can't grumble at that

seeing this so cheap really does make me want one and i cant imagine a half decent receiver being to expensive, main worry is trashing it tho as my only rc experience is with helicopters and that quite often goes wrong, so i think i may need somthing a little slower first

No.. I wouldn't suggest getting the Sea Vixen as your first non-heli RC. Tears would follow pretty quickly I think

Well, I was close - $3.94 out. For anyone interested, Hobbyking have just added it to their UK warehouse. Yours for $173.94! 24 or 48 courier is $10-12. Not bad considering all you then need is a TX/rx and LiPo.

Thanks for the HU HC I got an email from HK today advising of a new 'Orange' long range receiver.. probably sent to me as I've ordered a short range/park flyer Orange unit from them. Clicked on the link to find it's on back order Still, when it comes back in stock, there aren't too many places you can get a full range rxer, brand new for around $12. Maybe someone buying the SVixen might be interested
