FSX ships

Post by dhasdell »

I've been redirected over here from SOH by Gary after asking a question about Invincible, and from the "fisheads and wafus" thread I see that Andromeda, Glamorgan and Hermes are, ahem, floating around somewhere. Could some kind person give me a vector for a download, please?
Rats! Why doesn't anything work properly first time?

Hi, and welcome.

Glam wasn't released. Rick was doing her and from memory she was nearly done, but never released. Not sure who was doing Andromeda. Hermes was kicking about somewhere. I'm pretty sure DG did it using the old Alphasim model. The two that you can get straight away are Fearless and Intrepid... http://www.cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_lib/index.php?cat=2

Hi David - if you read my last post to you on SOH I had mentioned that virtavia have a Hermes zip file in their freeware section (CFS2 only though). The thread post below has a link to DGs FS9 Hermes which you can download. There is no native FSX Hermes. It's on my to do list just haven't got round to it yet.

If you go to Flying stations and check out my development thread "The Three Sisters" Wafu448 has posted a list of FSX RN vessels you can download from flightsim (Types 42, 21's, Leanders, county's etc etc)

The Fearless and Intrepid TSR2 has mentioned are FANTASTIC - would strongly recommend them

Cheers
Gary

It's taken me an hour or more but heres where I got my RN ships from.. http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/ ... -vehicles/

They're a bit rough and ready compared to modern built models but they work ok and are a darned sight better than nothing at all.

Hope this helps ;)

Thank you very much. That should keep me going for a while.
