And it's considerably more than "a tad more than" the price we paid for a real Harrier (XV744 of Transatlantic Air Race fame) which will be arriving at Tangmere soon!

Sri Nige.. I can't remember off the top of my head. When DeltaGolf turned up.. we had a pile of stuff turn up with her. I was under the impression the 1-11 sim was thrown in (from Filton.. an excuse to clear a pile of junk they didn't want) but I could be wrong.
A steal for £90,000. I did a work experience placement at a (now defunct) "successor" company to Link-Miles who I believe developed the simulators for the AV8-B (GR5/6/9/T.10) series harriers and they quoted a figure an order of magnitude (or three!) higher than that for the development of the visuals, in the sense that apparently a higher resolution image is projected onto the centre of the screen where the pilot's helmet is pointed, in effect mimicking what the human eye does. Not bad for late 80s/ early 90s technology.

Do you mean Sunday 10th or Monday 11th, Nev? I definitely won't be in on the Sunday and the Monday looks to be unlikely, too, which is a pity as I'd like to show you around. If it is the Monday you're going, It's worth asking for me (Pete Pitman) at reception when you arrive just in case.
Do book yourself a slot on the Lightning when you arrive, though (it's free). I've just changed it from FS2004 to P3D and it's running on the basic P3D scenery at the moment. An attempt use FTX England came to nothing and I've removed (almost) all the local add-on scenery until I can find versions that work or I can get permission from the vendors/designers to use their stuff in P3D. However, I think you'll still find it great fun to fly even if it is a little less visually appealing.

If it was the Cranebank one (BA Training Centre), I've got a few hours logged in that one. It was configurable as a 400 or 500 series. Only had night visuals though. Good fun all the same.
