Only £1.5 million, so better value that the much smaller ex-RAF Radar monitoring station RAF Neatishead that is only 25 acres but on sale for £2.5million.
Group buy? Check the backs of your sofas, we could do it.
I must admit Darren if I had the cash I would be tempted!
Its a very nice airfield in a great area, its just up the road from where I grew up in Camborne.
Years ago when I was flying with the Culdrose Gliding Club we had cross country competitions with the Perranporth Club, unfortunately I never had the chance to land there, but I am told that there were some interesting wind conditions kicked up by the cliffs very nearby.
Oh to dream to own it and a Swordfish to keep there for summer evening flights down the coast to Lands End and back..... More motivation for that entrepreneurial spirit !
When I was a child, my grandparents had a holiday cottage in Perranporth. I last went to the place (albeit some ten years after they sold it) on a somewhat crazy post-graduation day trip with some uni friends in 2004. Until the last couple of years (looking at google maps) I never realised there was an airfield there. What was it used for and was it open to GA at all?
