Signs of discontent.

I put a BREASTFEEDING WELCOME HERE sign on the front gate.
It didn't work.

Sign said ROAD WORKS AHEAD.
It wasn't working. It was broken, and they were fixing it.

Sign said LOOSE STONES TRAVEL SLOWLY.
They didn't, they were so fast, they chipped my windscreen.

Man standing roadside held a sign saying SLOW.
I called out, "Yeah, me too, join the club."
As I whizzed past, I saw in the mirror, that the other side of his sign said STOP.
All the men were leaning on their shovels, apparently reading it.
