Nostalgia

Post by Filonian »

Paul Anka wrote this for Sinatra, and only a violin can make this sound as beautiful as it truly is. Don't miss this.............
Andre Rieu doesn't often play his violin through whole pieces, this he did!!

Do they still use sheep intestines to make that sound?
According to QI, it's not cat gut.

Oh, the music, yeah, sorry, I have a mate in town who turned 89 on 1st January. He loves the AR stuff.

Maybe I'll grow into it one day.
Also, unfortunately, "My Way" has never appealed to me, though I have been known to enjoy Mr Sinatra's other offerings. He was pretty classy.
You can please some of the people some of the time. Glad you enjoy it, Graham. No bad feelings. ;) You know I love you.
Cheers, Mike.

Thanks for posting that clip Graham, Andre Rieu is one of my favorites and i often watch him and his "family" as he calls them on Sky Arts,

Cheers,

Roger.

Graham, thanks for posting. I did not realize that Paul Anka wrote that song.
