Opua Marina...

Post by petermcleland »

I was asked by March over at Mutley's to do a photo pass over the Opua Marina when I got up to the Bay of Islands...Well now I am in the BOI and was also embarrassed to realise that the beach where I am parked is on the wrong island. I soon realised after I looked around that the island was too small to be Urupukapuka...So today I have relocated, but on the way I did do a couple of photo passes over Opua Marina, as requested:-

Here is the marina at Opua.

Well, I couldn't resist a low pass in the opposite direction.

The other shots in the sequence can be seen here:-

Thanks for looking :fly:

Great pictures, Peter. The Bay of Islands look really lovely. I wish I'd gone out there when I'd had a few days in Auckland but I never got round to it. It was one place in the world where the time change crippled me. With no more than two or three days off I could never sleep for more than a couple of hours and really struggled to stay awake during the daylight hours. I'd guess you need a month's holiday to do it properly.

With a yacht you could spend the whole of your retirement just cruising around those islands. I expect you thought of that!

Thanks for posting the pictures.

Ian :)
