The United Kingdom Explained

Post by speedbird591 »

Great Britain, the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth? What's it all about, then?

Here's a simple guide which explains everything...I think :worried:

If they taught like that in school, think how much you'd learn in a few short years!
Jolly good.

Seems clear enough to me :S

One error...the Crown Dependencies..CI, IoM etc cannot be over ruled by the UK as stated only by the Crown via the Privy Council.

The British Government has no authority over those dependencies...although they often try :worried:

To many Europeans the US is just as confusing with local aera authority, State Governmentsand Federal law, just no quite so many layers :)
