Oh dear 8)

I note there's no footage of what happened to the helicopter. Don't mess with Kamikaze Zero's

Difficult to say who's in the wrong there but my first thought would be the chopper pilot. I think the Zero was a bit too far gone for glue

Can't quite tell if the Zero hit the helicopter from behind or not. :dunno:

Yes.. it does look like the chopper was hit up the chuff but would you really want to be dossing around over the runway knowing something the size and speed of the Zero was in cct?? It's difficult to criticise either without knowing who was in the air first. For sure.. the Zero pilot would have little chance of goofing.. I know I wouldn't anyway. When I've one of the fighters up.. my eyes don't wander very far.. they can be off and out of sight shorter than it takes to type it

6 of 1.. half a dozen of the other *-) With both pilots standing next to one another.. you'd expect them to have been aware of each others models wouldn't you .

Its interesting listening to the dialogue from the video after the collision.

At around 00:40secs, I'm sure I could hear "didn't you hear me calling low pass!"

Whoever is to blame, its a rather unpleasant end to the day. :'( :'(

Most fields I've been around require helicopters to fly in a separate area from the fixed-wing aircraft to prevent this kind of issue. Attached are images showing the "Helicopter" areas of the two fields I used to fly at on a regular basis.
