On a square in Sabadell (Barcelona) is a living statue, a man with a contrabass.

A girl throws a coin into his hat and get lots of value for money

Hi Graham,

Nice find, its great to see the expressions of the people around and enjoying it,

Gone are the days unfortunately when we had music being played in our town as we used to have a band stand in Rochester Castle [Kent] grounds, it only happens now on special occasions,

It was nice to walk though our High St hearing a band playing in the background, Ah those were the days!!

Cheers,

Roger,GOF.

There is always a special kind of echo when a band plays outdoors in the street.

hared to describe, but you feel it's something special

thanks for this Graham...a nice piece of feel good entertainment.

Obviously thoroughly enjoyed by the public.
I thought the acoustics were amazing, given the lack of control over an open air situation.
Thanks Graham.

Graham, thanks so much for posting! Really amazing and I love to see people enjoy music. Hey, that Beethoven fellow wasn't bad, especially since he was deaf when you wrote that!

Amazing stuff from someone who was deaf and composing. Certainly better than many modern efforts by people who are apparently equally deaf and by the look of some of them, decomposing.

Magic. Thanks for posting Graham  EricT
ps I made me think of a day last year while SWMBO and I were sitting outdoors at a cafe in St Andrews Square in town.A lady stood nearby and placed a 'Ghetto Blaster'(the only way I can describe it) on the grass and started to sing the Toreador song from Carmen, rather to the surprise of folks gathered there. She had a beautiful voice. The real surprise came as gradually more and more of the audience stood up to join her.It was fabulous and it turned out that they were promoting a production of Carmen which they were doing at a venue in Edinburgh.Eventually there probably about 30 of them singing.
Now at the age where I know I like girls but can't remember why!

Thanks for posting that link Graham. One of the best and most moving clips I have seen on YouTube. Oh to have been in that Spanish square and to have been part of the event. Amazing and beautiful.
