That's what worries me Ben
Is the state of the art on modern computerised airliners such that the pilots are forgetting what a dangerous environment flying is...a complete loss of a sense of reality if indeed the modern pilots ever had a proper sense of reality.
Aeroflot A.310 springs to mind.

Maybe it was Roger the flight attendant?
I wouldn't like to travel by air in India...train ops are dodgy too, but at least on rail you're not far from the ground.
