Tried to click on the link for FGW then I realised I was wasting my time as it is 'for Railway Professionals only'.

Thanks, Nigel

A bit of an update. I've exchanged a few emails with the guy who was looking for info about his grandfather, S/L Evans DFC and bar. S/L Evans flew an incredible 75 sorties and lived until 1995. In 1943 he was at RAF Bottesford at the same time as Teddy and flew as navigator on the COs hand-picked team. I pointed out to him that the CO, W/C Gomm, featured in a Movietone clip on my website. He's just got back to me saying that S/L Evans is also on the clip and that he and his family are absolutely thrilled to see their grandfather in a movie during his wartime service.

Vince Holyoak and I were able to fill in a lot of gaps in his knowledge of that time and in return he's given us some new photos - including one of Teddy!

So no, Joe, the swelling hasn't gone down yet

Ian :)
