The Dambusters 1955 film, behind the scenes

Post by delticbob »

Just been 'Facebooked' (is that even a word!) a link to some behind the scenes pictures from the making of the film 'The Dambusters', (1955 film not the remake), in an article in todays MailOnline . They go very nicely with the large format production stills from Erwin Hillier, that were posted on here a couple of years ago. (Dec 1. 2009)

I'm tempted to go and have a look Bob but the thought of the article being in 'The Mail' makes me cringe

As an aside here, while I was in town today,I bought a copy of 'Dam Busters The Race To Smash The Dams',a new paperback by James Holland, who is an excellent writer. It was in Waterstones. However it will be a while before I get round to reading it.It was originally published in hardback last year.
Just thought I'd mention it. :) EricT

Thanks for that, Roger. I haven't seen it for a while and what better time to watch it than on the 70th anniversary.

Ian
