It was a real pea-souper when we were travelling back from Chester-le-Street at about 9pm yesterday.
Hi George, it was indeed. Mrs Watson had a craving for chips at 22:00 ish, and it was fog lights on all the way. We went for a walk in Shields this afternoon and it managed to stay out at sea long enough to get a good stroll. We were all saying how much we miss Shields, I think I'll need to start to plan our return for a few years time.

Bit late in the day but happy birthday George  Been out at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum at Lathalmond near Dunfermline. They were having one of their bus running days .After two lovely days weather on Thursday and especially Friday, yesterday was torrential rain for most of the day and today we woke up to quite a thick fog which really only started to lift in the afternoon. However the murk did give a bit of atmosphere to the day.At least it wasn't cold.Best wishes EricT :)

Thanks again everybody.

Ben,

We drove past the Leas at about midday today and could just about make out the cliff edge. There was a guy flying a white r/c Cub :-O god knows how he could see it.

Birthday greetings for yesterday, George. Sorry it's a bit late but I hope you had a good day anyway

It's a scary time for birthdays for me - the second Mrs Speedbird shares your birthday while the present Mrs Speedbird has hers today! I seem to have a thing for Taureans - although you're quite safe

All the best

Ian :)

Just back from holiday George. Not you, me! Anyway, belated greetings old mate.

I tried to send you a cake, but the candles set fire to the box.
