Not bad looking and nice to see RR on the engines, but it does look like an oversized Embraer :)

Looks like a Dreamliner. I'm sure it won't have the same problems though. :worried:

There have been a very comparison pics posted around.

It could't look more different, although not exactly in the same class. *-)

By different I mean like the Concorde and TU-144 that seem similar until you look closely and nothing at all is alike.

Hi Garry,

I love a first flight of any aircraft even though we know it's going to be ok,

I remember the Boeing 777 first flight which the day before did a fast taxi run in front of the press and Took off the ground momentarily and the boss of Boeing saying "we did'nt see that did we"

Cheers,

Roger.

A few prototypes have seen daylight under the wheels on a fast run especially, like the Viscount, it was on grass which is a bit bumpy. Gives them a chance to check the elevator response at high ground speed so not too difficult to long bounce.

I love to see the crowds of those involved and the look on their faces when the product they've lived with for so long becomes 'real'. No matter what...it has to fly and when it does it must be very emotional for them.

I've not checked but presumably this will be live?

Think what folks may...this is a major piece of the jigsaw which nowadays often means a sale of a whole family or non at all.

Even though it appears to be French, it is European and would not have existed if it was not for the old school of French German and very much British firms of the past.

Even if there is little direct link, the know how and ideology stems from a very firm base indeed.

The strike was supposed to just be yeasterday and today.

Despite that, there have been a few flights through French airpsace. Not sure how that came about.
