That's a great shot! They are pretty serious looking things and also you wouldn't think that they could handle turns like that. I remember a story from the end of the nineties where the Soviets let an American pilot have a go at flying one of their newer jets. The Americans were sort of obliged to return the favour and after much deliberation let him fly an F-4 for a bit. I cannot remember what the Soviet jet was but it may have been a Su-27 or something like that. The Russian pilot did comment that the F-4 seemed a bit 'agricultural' in comparison.
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

I have it from an informed source that it's pulling 8.6g! Let's not forget that the F-4 is 1950's technology so direct comparison with a Flanker is a bit unfair. However it is a great testament to the Phantom that it continues in front line service well into the 21st century, albeit in dwindling numbers. A true classic and still one of the few true multi-role aircraft. Always been a great favourite of mine.
