Re: From the Past,
Yes.. seems like it was only 56years ago.. a lifetime for someone (like me) born in that very year
I would say thanks for sharing but I can't think of a good reason

Re: From the Past,
Well, I will say thanks for sharing, Roger. I was ten at the time and I must confess I don't remeber this at all. I was in England then and apparently this was an American hit from the YouTube description. I do remember Harry Belafonte's version thoguh, but my favourite from that year was "Singing the Blues", the first rock and roll record I ever brought - on a 78rpm!

Re: From the Past,
Well, Roger, that took me on a trip!..........Tommy Steele reminded me of The Vipers, Lonnie Donnegan, and then Joe Brown & the Bruvvers.
Had a nostalgic listen, Mrs Airspeed singing along to "Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavour?" Sadly, "Mrs Brown You've etc." by the said Joe B was not found. I have always considered that to be the most heartfelt version.
Thank you, kind Sir!

Mike, I remember them well, actually started out as "Boots Brown and his Bruvvers"

Re: From the Past,
I remember this well (not that I was borne at the time you understand) but the best thing about that link was all the Bob Newhart clips (who listened to the Air Traffic Controller?).
