The great outdoors

Post by cjw50310 »

This past week I made a return trip to Rocky Mountain National Park, which is in north central Colorado.

Here are a few pics of my travels in the mountains.

A few bighorn sheep lazing about just above the tree line.

My hiking partner at the summit of Twin Sisters Mountain, with Long's Peak not too far distant.

My first ever moose sighting.

Yours truly at an alpine tarn.

And my favorite from the whole trip.

Thanks for looking,
Chris

Lovely pics - great to get a look at places we will probably never get to see
BTW, in the top pic, is the one on the left a little Bighorn?
Mebbe Joe can advise, before Garry comes up with a better/worse pun... :$

Wonderful shots, Chris. I'm so jealous of your hikes in the mountains. Thanks so much for posting the pictures.

How on earth did Shaun the Sheep get over there? It's nice to see him travelling and meeting his relatives :)

That last picture - on reflection I was wondering if it's not upside down?

Ian :)
