Yep.. but that could mean anything really *-) Both may be using the same model but using a different airfile. Seems unlikely doesn't it :dunno:

It'd help if I had the models. I may have a download as it's after midnight :)

EDIT: Right.. from what I've been able to establish, BDAN and BAJW are both for the 727-100 LATE model. I don't know where that BAJW 84 entry comes from. It lists the sim as 727200A and the only Dan Air paint for the 200ADV model (a different model to the one above) is BHNE '86.

I've downloaded the 727-100 Late model along with DanDare 76 (BDAN) and Dan Dare '82 (not '84.. there isn't one) - (BAJW) and both these show in FSX but without a visible panel. I don't think the model has a VC (I didn't look).

Here is my config entry..
//727-100 LATE
//Add your [fltsim.xx] sections here.
//Remember to start with 0 (zero).
//Copyright Historic Jetliners Group. No uploading to any website without prior approval.

Now.. assuming you have the same model and the same paints.. those entries should work either in FS9 or FSX. The panel folder in the 100 Late aliases to the default 747 and the sound folder aliases to the 737. I'd suggest you use neither :lol:

EDIT#2
I've looked at the G-BAJW file uploaded by BenH at Allnodes and although the blurb points to the 727-100.. Ben's config points to the 727-200 model and references an '84 scheme :wall: The files I downloaded last night were from HJG and reference the 100 model in an '82 scheme. Ben has been known to make the odd faux pas like this before :worried:

Indeed it could and one a longer and shorter version being the same...yeah seems unlikely, but could also be the sign of a confusion/hole waiting for the unwary to fall into.

I never bothered with the Dan Air when I had the 727 because my favourite livery, the red and black that Dan Air themselves called "The red and Black was painted in red and dark blue by Ben :lol:

So I never came across this myself *-)

But you see to be well onto it now :thumbsup:

I have downloaded the base pack and the two repaints you mention. I can confirm they are correct. The sim ref points to the name of the airfile not the model.
This is what you should paste into the aircraft.cfg only the referen e to that aircraft no need to change all the other parameters. Did you not ask this question on the HJG forum? We try and resolve all issues there as best as we can. I can see your G-BAJW listing is referring to the 727-200 airfile?? thats incorrect copy and paste my listings here and all should be fine
Tony

Thanks for the confirmation TM :thumbsup:

It always pays to get files from the correct source as we find here many times! If you want to use that Dan Air pack available at Allnodes Mark.. make sure your sim entries are for the 100 model as shown above. Ben has them all referenced to the 200 model 8)

Thankyou very much indeed gents :welldone: .

Tony,TBH,I didn't realise HJG/Vistaliners had there own forum,I never noticed when I went
onto the website to d/l the 727 basepack and the two DanDare paints for it.

I shall remember in the future if I go for a Tin Mouse in DanDare or Britannia liveries,
they're the things I most remember at EGCC in the late 70's,early 80's.

Always seemed to be grubbier than everyone else's too.
The trouble is though,I rarely use airliners,just mostly mil and historics.
You could see him thinking "Bleedin'pilots,don't know nuffin.All glammer" He's probably right.
