The sea isn't great from altitude, but when you get low down its actually animated, not stationary so the waves move with the wind rather than being an effect.

Agree with DG. Its the right thing to do, but the wrong point at which to do it. I'm certainly not buying anything specifically for P3D, if I buy something and it works with P3D grand. See guys, FSX is hard to beat. :lol: ;)

George, I've just realised it is effect dependant (The ships wake). I've put the ferry ware effect into several ships were the fx_wake_l etc had been used and the ferry effect works, the fx_wake_l doesn't

Dsepite it's faults, it uses the hardware more efficiently. I generally see over 100 fps in P3D, rarely anywhere near in FSX.

Dsepite?? Is that with Ben's ferry ware? :lol:

That argument alone doesn't stand up for me I'm afraid George. I'm sure my old Peugeot 406 with it's 16v engine burned fuel more efficiently than my 8v Skoda but it burned a darned site more of it :lol:

Using the Bucc from flying stations.

That might be my fault, I suspect P3D may be less forgiving of my programming err.. amateurishness. Having said that, what graphics card are you using nVidia or ATI?

Hi Skippy,

Don't underestimate your skills mate, I am still struggling with the Dominie at the moment. Using the GTX 770 as a card. Perhaps I need the update to the Bucc from your website.

LM seem to have buggered up the link to external SimObjects folders - no longer works in the Prepar3D config file for V2.1. George have you managed to do this?

Chris

Hmm, it works fine for me:

SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes
SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft
SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles
SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats
SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals
SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc
SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\Submersible
SimObjectPaths.7=SimObjects\Weapons
SimObjectPaths.8=SimObjects\Countermeasures
SimObjectPaths.9=J:\!FSXAircraft
SimObjectPaths.10=J:\!AIAircraft
SimObjectPaths.11=J:\!WOAI_Aircraft
SimObjectPaths.12=J:\!FTXAI_AIRCRAFT
SimObjectPaths.13=j:\!MAIW_Aircraft
SimObjectPaths.14=j:\GAAM Aircraft
SimObjectPaths.15=j:\UT2 Aircraft
