The last surviving and complete Vickers Vanguard....."Superb"
Re: For Garry R.
Very dark! They appeared to be switching between the Weybridge factory and Wisley airfield. Sir George was his usual unsmiling self.
Before my time. I started there in 1961, working in the VC10 wing shop.Rivets! Rivets! Rivets! and more Rivets!

Re: For Garry R.
That event passed me by - I would have been in the Mould Loft working on parts for the VC10 during '60!
As for rivets...loads of them as a 'dolly' holder.... when I started my apprenticeship in '54 in the main erection shed on wing panels for the Valiant - thats partly to blame for my tinitus, the other is open exhausts in Austers, Tigers & Proctor.
Thanks for the link - helps my old memory - where was the VC10 Mock up - Foxwarren?
