Air Canada "Hard landing"!!

Post by robbie »

Luckily no one seriously injured, most reports say the a/c took out a power line leaving much of the airport in the dark.

Passengers were left standing on the runway for 50 minutes waiting for transport!! and it was very cold last night, many of them were returning from Florida and wearing shorts!!!.

One guy told reporters that when he tried to leave the airport parking with his car, the attendant refused to allow him to leave because he couldn't pay due to losing his wallet on board..one very angry guy!!.

I'm glad that everyone is ok. Shudder to think of how this could have turned out if there was a fire.

That is a bit of a mess!
Likewise, glad it worked out OK for those on board.
Cheers, Mike.

News today reports that it will take at least month to replace the ILS antennas at the threshold, they were very lucky to get away with only minor injuries!!.
