Canadair Argonaut B.O.A.C. Colours
Hello all,
I'm starting to do the B.O.A.C.paint scheme for the upcoming Argonaut, but am having a hard time determining just what the colours were. Does anyone have an RGB value for the navy blue? And am I correct in assuming that there was a yellow stripe immediately below the window line, and between the anti-glare and the window line? Many photos out there, but few colour ones, and fewer still of any quality....and so before making guesses I thought I'd come here to try and make sure all is as accurate as possible.
Many thanks,
Mike

Hiya Mike
I thought I'd replied to this on my tablet.. obviously not
The one bloke who'd have ripped a number off for you (Garry) is sadly no longer with us so in the absence of his encyclopaedic brain, we have to scratch around a bit. Damn good job we're not making models here anymore! I've just looked at the BOAC blue on Dave Maltby's VC10's and I get an average of between 0, 21, 56 and 0, 23, 62. Noting these are FS9 models.. I'm not sure how it'd translate to FSX. How does that match with what you have.. a bit darker I'd imagine?
Lovely looking model Mike and on my list when it's released

Thanks Dave, much appreciated!
Those numbers plus some further experimenting have resulted in what you see below. These may be tweaked before release, of course. Exterior is still missing a few antennae, but is otherwise essentially complete. VC still needs some BOAC-specific mods....
Cheers,
Mike

Welcome Marijn
Yep.. this looks to be at least as good as the DC6 and better in some ways. What Mike uses for sounds will be interesting. Looking forward to it

Thanks Dave,
Been on this site for quiet while, do like the spirit here. have never posted before though.
The quality of the add-ons found here is incomparable, there functionality not often matched by payware aircraft.
But... I do like VC's and am very fond of the Heron from FR. Still awaiting the Dove from AH. I hope it will be better then there Viscounts.
We're spoiled with the Viscounts from this site I'm afraid.

Looking forward to it in Trans Canadian livery!!!
Why is it in Payware subforum? I thought it is freeware? No?
