Yes.. it may indeed! I tried all the usual stuff when I first got REX (as you do) but didn't like most of what I saw. Aircraft nav whites in particular became blue 8) Changed everything back to default except the sea and sky

A small selection of 'iffy' bits on the external model.

The main gear mudguards are picking up sunlight despite them being buried under the wings..

The glass on the camera nose seems far too bright and is almost silver at some angles. The inside of the camera bay is also rather light..

Anyone who has ever looked down the intakes of a Meatbox will know it's as black as a bag in there..

:agree: That's the sort of issues I was afraid of. I'd probably spend more time tweaking and fixing than flying it. *-)
Same As with the Dove and the Mosquito. 8)

.. and that will ultimately take the fun out of it for you. It certainly would for me. :(

Had it been a NF Mk.11 I might have been interested, but the F.8 doesn't really appeal to me. I'll wait for their Javelin.

I was actually on the verge of buying this when I asked myself 'Why do I want it?'. I normally only buy a model for the following reasons: I want to paint it; I really like the aircraft and it is not available from anywhere else; the model looks great externally.
There is no mention of a paintkit being made available and if there was it would probably be as user-friendly as the Dove and Mosquito efforts! The model looks very nice, although as usual the weathering is overdone and there are several painting inaccuracies, eg the FR9 WZ603 should actually be VZ603, the Israeli machine should be all-silver and is missing the black and white engine intake quadrant markings. I have already painted 23 F8/FR9 schemes, do I want to do any more? No.
Oh well, roll on the Javelin.

Peter

Are they developing a Javelin?! Didn't see that on their 'in development' page!
