Tree lover

Mrs Airspeed is such a softie!
She cried when I had to cut down our walnut tree.

Couldn't have hurt that much when it fell on her head, surely?

I hope you gave the tree a good hug before you chopped it down.

And walnut is nice wood, any plans for it?

I won't be making any furniture out of it, but may try some trinkets.
It was only about 4 metres high and 120mm at the base.
It was a seedling that we left in a pot near the workshop and car port.
Being rather laid back, (some unkind folks may say "lazy"), by the time we decided to transplant it, the roots were under the concrete slab, and we didn't rate its chances of survival.
