You beat me
Re: Prepard3D v4
Thanks Dave. I'm looking forward to the first reviews and impressions. Won't be buying it just yet, however.

Re: Prepard3D v4
I expect I'll be buying pretty much straight away, assuming they keep the current pricing structure.
Saw also that A2A are making their P3d aircraft available for V4 for free to existing customers. Nice move.

Blimey ! Just found the thread at A2A. What great news. Lewis kept that quiet on Sunday.

Re: Prepard3D v4
PMDG are doing free upgrades as well for existing customers.
Looks like VRS TacPack & Superbug upgrade will be months away. No idea if it will be free upgrade, but I doubt it will.
Have to wait and see what's happening with regards to FSUIPC.

" baseline update to a 64-bit architecture"
I couldn't get on with the previous versions (probably my fault/set up).But with this.... now I'm interested again.

It's not a 'bird', it's an aeroplane or an aircraft
Re: Prepard3D v4
Yes, I remember PMDG saying that they would support future versions of P3D for their P3D-specific aircraft, of which my NGX is one. In the forthcoming 64-bit battle, I wonder if it'll be add-on developers who sway people one way or another. LM have A2A, PMDG and Orbx on board, while I think Orbx works okay with FSW, and that has Accu-Feel built in. I'm trying to think what other add-ons would be desirable - certainly Aerosoft's A318-321 Airbus package, their Twin Otter and Catalina, Captain Sim's 727 ( not holding my breath ), A.H.s forthcoming C-46, the rest of A2A's warbird range and maybe a certain Rapide and Autocrat . D.G. - will you be able to make those last two work in P3Dv4 ? If I have all these aircraft, or at least the promise of them, I'll probably nail my colours to Lockheed Martin's mast.

Re: Prepard3D v4
The Rapide should work OK without any alteration, assuming v4 can still use FSX format MDLs.
The Auster uses a freeware sound gauge which probably won't work, but it can be disabled, you would just lose some custom sounds. I'll replace it if a v4 compatible version becomes available.
I think all my others just use XML gauges so should be fine as well.
Obviously I'll have to wait until I get my hands on v4 to be sure though.
