My other monitor started to play, the screen started to go black and would not turn on for some time afterwards so had to switch off the power and wait maybe a few minutes before trying again. Once warmed up (so to speak) it was OK but once or twice when flying it would go off and I ended up crashing. It was an Acer 24" but only two and a half years old.
Babs told me to look around and find another this time with a bigger screen and came across an ASUS 27" gaming monitor from Amazon on offer at £164.98 instead of the usual £326.16.
What a difference this monitor has made for FSX, Dirt Rally (now can avoid the ruts and trees)! and more importantly seeing those nasty G50s' and 109s' when on-line, had a terrific fight when four 109s' tried to jump me last night (flown by humans) and managed evade them for five minutes until the flak got me and had to crash land as was right on the deck. With the other monitor I would not have seen them until probably too late!!
Really chuffed with it and can highly recommend the ASUS Brand.

Nigel.

Re: New Monitor.
Have fun with it Nige!
The bigger screens certainly help.
I'm currently running 2 Acers.
The big one was given to me by somebody who was upgrading and is, like yours, 60cm/24in.
The second is my original 53cm/21in, about 5 or 6 years old, no bullet holes though!

Re: New Monitor.
Hi Mike, thanks, liked the Acer but just don't know why it started to play up so soon, my previous monitor a 17" Dell 17" kept going and going until I wanted to get one a bigger size.
Been hunting today though did not run into any 109's so maybe tonight!!

Re: New Monitor.
My first flat screen was an LG, but I only got 18months or so out of that.
Re: New Monitor.
now that has surprised me Mike, I have a LG television and that has been going for many years. I always thought LG to be extremely good but then again like cars from the same manufacturer one odd one out can always cause problems I guess.

Big screens rule!
I run two 27" ASUS screens and two 24" ACER screens.
Plenty of room for all the engineering panels of Concorde plus weather etc.
