Installing FS2004 without the discs?
Is it possible to install FS9 on a machine that does not have a dvd/cd drive?

Re: Installing FS2004 without the discs?
I was able to copy my entire FS9 folder using either an external drive and/or network connection (I don't remember which) from my old system to the new system and it worked. I did have the patch so you don't have to have the disk in the drive to start up, so without that I don't know if it would work.

It works like a charm.
I have a 'default' FS2004, with added on scenery & planes, on a portable hard drive.
I use teracopy to copy the file, as it is very fast, compared to Microsoft's copy.
Once installed, copy & paste a shortcut to the fs9.exe, just run it & add scenery.
