I love the IRIS Vulcan (and our/PSS version) but it's nearly a decade old now and things have certainly moved on considerably in that time. I'm excited to see a fully-functional Vulcan with 4096x4096 textures and modelling/detail to an even greater level than our previous in-house aircraft. We should be visiting the real-world XM655 shortly to carry out extensive research for the project
Martyn, I'd be interested in your thoughts regarding this thread:

A Victor would be great, as would a decent Jaguar or early Harrier, or maybe some other Canberra variants... :worried:
Not to mention Shackleton WR963 at Coventry. I think this deserves the JF treatment, with a little of the proceeds going to get her back in the air again. :)

Hi Andy,

As someone pointed out in that thread, modelling/animating/coding all of the rear crew positions just isn't worthwhile from a commercial point-of-view, both in terms of time/cost and hit on performance. We will however, as a minimum, be including important panels as 2D pop-ups such as the electrical system controls and anything else related to key aircraft systems that would have a real/worthwhile purpose in FS.

Thanks
Martyn

Some shots of the Vulcan's panel are up on Just Flight's development page, chaps. Rather nice, to say the least !

That panel looks really good. Not convinced about the exterior finish though. Looks a bit plastic-y. *-) Still, it is WIP, and I'm sure I'll be adding it to my collection. :)

Very impressive, love the way they have done the panel along with scratch marks on the panel by the screws. Wonder whether they will model the fuel transfer switches so that you can maintain the correct C of G when flying?

Will certainly be buying this when it comes out and hope it matches that of flying enjoyment I get with the VC10!!

Nigel.

When we had the power on during our research trip to Wellesbourne, one of the things we did was move some fuel around so we have recording of the visuals (dolls eyes, needle movement on gauges) and also the audio of the pump running.

Cheers,
Paul.

Hi Paul, so it appears that one will be able to transfer the fuel around to maintain correct C of G, sounds really good. A definite purchase for me.
