More Goodies from Historic Jetliners Group

Post by FlyTexas »

HJG have uploaded some new additions to their website. http://simviation.com//hjg/ . Included in the update is the quite handsome G-DCIO painted by Tony Madge himself.

Update: It seems that G-DCIO was somewhat of a celebrity back in her day.

Thank you sooo much for all the Christmas goodies, Mark! :welldone: You and your crew have really outdone yourselves. :) The bevy of 737's are great, and Mario's (superb) Mercure was a complete surprise. Very much looking forward to the 737-100's and 737-200's. :excited:

edit: Just saw the new Delta 737-300 repaint by Jim (Mr. Delta) Campisi. Jim just made my day.

Many thanks for the update, Mark! The Mercure has me salivating! The panel/VC in particular look amazing in the videos. Can't wait to d/l and give it a try....then I'm off to download some French scenery for those short-short-short haul flights...the only ones the Mercure was apparently capable of!

Unusually for them an FSX model with a VC of the Mercure! I am enjoying that at the moment.

"THANKS" guys .... for the positive feedback .... always appreciated :)
You and your team
Actually .... not my team .... since I'm just "a humble worker" behind the façade of the group and really only represent and assist its internal organizing :)
those short haul flights .... the only ones the Mercure was apparently capable of!
A respectable range (up to around 800-900 miles .... still well short of that of the B737-100/200 and DC-9-10/20/30 though) can be realized .... provided one reduces payload in order to promote more fuel .... see my flying guides for this simulation as linked within the HJG website announcement :)

Both of these textures by Tony MADGE are available "NOW" from HJG's "B737-300" and "B737-500" downloads pages .... so ... knock yourselves out accordingly :)

If it does not convince any of you enough, HJG also features exciting classic British liveries for new model bases 737-300, -400, and -500.

HJG offers Britannia 1990 - G-BNRT - 737-375, two EasyJet liveries for -300, Monarch Airline 1988 - G-BNXW - 737-33A, Thomson 2007 - G-THOH- 737-315, British Airways 1994 - G-BVNO - 737-453, BMI 1988 - G-OBME - 737-4Y0, and BMI 2009 - G-BVZZ - 737-59D.

Lots of British liveries for all of you especially it is hard to find well made 737-500 that is totally freeware!!

Regards,

Aharon
