WIP: Flight Replicas Halifax

Re: WIP: Flight Replicas Halifax
The plot thickens a little. According to the interweb, 518 Squadron operated the Mk. III from March to October 1945, based at RAF Tiree. The squadron was renumbered 202, as mentioned above, and then used the GR. Mk VI, which was also Hercules powered ( maybe that's the type in the black and white photo ). Obviously, the two-tone camo paint scheme below might be a case of modeller's license, but it's intriguing - where did he get his references from?

Just a few more screenshots, as things move along. Slowly getting there!

Well done, those men!
Re: WIP: Flight Replicas Halifax
Still slowly working at the Halifax, and I think it's slowly getting there. The basic majority of the work is done, and now it's on to variants and a few other things. Halton is still to come. Time for a few new screenshots....
Just keep in mind that everything is still a work in progress!

Re: WIP: Flight Replicas Halifax
Oh lordy, the C.Mk.VIII is utter perfection. I want all of them, but that variant in particular, and there she is in all her glory.
Mike, a couple of questions, if I may. I wasn't aware the RAF Mk.VIIIs and post-war civilian ones had a second set of controls fitted, and so I always assumed that the navigator and W/Op occupied the same positions down in the nose, as in the bomber version. If that is so, how did the W/Op and navigator access their positions and how did the navigator get back to the astrodome during the flight ? Did the 'second' pilot have to move everything out of the way?
And where on earth did you find the photos / drawings of the arrangement ? I've never seen anything on it
