I watched it live at luchtime. There have been many very complimentary comments on the Pongo website, ARRSE about the standard of the drill.

Well done to all.
Steve.

Thanks, Brian!
Educational as well as entertaining; for instance, I learnt that the Typhoons are to be retired in favour of the F-35s.
Pity the video was spoiled by a couple of shots of two Royals unpopular with me. :|
Had to look up ARRSE to see what Nigel was on about. Haven't logged on to read the comments there, though.

Shame about the cloud - it's been ten-tenths blue here for weeks - but still looked good.

Sometimes, though, what went on behind the scenes is just as impressive to watch: https://mobile.twitter.com/rafbrizenort ... 0704608257

I had a great view of the Brize Norton aircraft which were routed right overhead on their way home.

:hello:

ps. As usual, BBC News cocked up. 100 Jets over London. Jets?

Brian - indeed it was. All those beautiful holding patterns brought tears of joy to my ageing eyes. ;)

Mike - I still visit most days but, as it's essentially a flight sim site and my involvement with that these days is restricted to looking after the sims at Tangmere, I tend just to lurk. Despite me not being involved much in simming, though, this is still one of my favourite sites - must be something to do with the people who post here, I guess.

Pete

Btw, Mike, your "Push Off Biggles" hut is still working beautifully in P3D v4 and makes a great marker for the turn from left base to final - fly right over it, turn left 90 degrees and there's the runway!
