Jet Provost
Does anyone know if Ricks JP has been modified for use in P3D v4?
Or is there one being produced by anyone.
I’ve tried the FSX version but as I thought it doesn’t work.
I grew up with the Provosts and Jet Provosts at RAF Cranwell with my father in the RAF and they have always been a favourite of mine.
Regards
John

Re: Jet Provost
I tried it this evening and can confirm that it does not work.
I find it quite frustrating that so many fsx aircraft are not compatible. The new sims are moving ahead at an incredible rate but I fear that a lot of the aircraft we have come to love are going to disappear over the horizon.
A return to FS9 anyone?

Re: Jet Provost
The Provost is an FS9 model, which is why it won't work in v4. That's part of the price of moving the sim forward I'm afraid.

I love it when Dave saunters in with a simple honest answer.
Re: Jet Provost
I think we peaked with FS9. FSX was a graphical improvement but also introduced more issues, principally memory running out. Recently I reinstalled FS9 and am having a whale of a time. Takes a lot of 3rd party help though to please the eye.

Re: Jet Provost
FS9/early FSX was the heyday, no doubt. Things have moved on, especially with P3d v4, the sim has never looked so good, but the "buzz" from the early days is not there.

Re: Jet Provost
if Rick does not have the time, or want to complete this, if he gives myself the permission, I would gladly convert his FS9 model to P3d. Here is a rip of his FS9 model already in 3dsmax ready to work on. But this will not happen without Rick's express permission.
