TV: Father Brown

Post by FlyTexas »

I've discovered 'Father Brown' while watching Netflix with Mrs. FlyTexas. A fun show, even though the TV "formula" (an amusing non-police character solving murders) is nothing new. Father Brown's bicycle looks at bit modern to be from the 50's. *-) Still a very enjoyable TV show. We watched an episode tonight that had a bunch of 1950's racing cars. I'm hooked on the show.

Hi Brian,
We used to blob with FB as it coincided with Sunday dinner time.
You mention his bike; I'm unsure whether it was that series, or the one with Robson Green as the policeman and his "assistant" the young Catholic priest, but one of them constantly put deliberate errors in, like non-existent birds etc. There was an air show in one episode, where a MkIX Spitfire was referred to as a MkI.
Cheers, Mike.

Mentioning the birds I love hearing the birds that they put in these programmes as background noise. Being a bit of a birder it is quite funny to hear what is supposedly calling out. Mind you a lot of these errors are sloppy research especially in documentaries.
