George,
Glad you found a cure - had me worried!
My main puter has W8.1, AMD Radion HD5700, & a 6 core AMD Phenom II & only FSX SP2 & FS9. My laptop is a cheapie but it runs FS9, FSX SP2 & FSXA using W10 just about, but good enough for cross checking.

Just landed after succesful flights in both FS9 and FSX (sp2) - I won't repeat the comments made by others so here's my few very pedantic motes -
1 - I would prefer to see more texture differentiation between the metal engine cowls and the presumably fabric and/or wooded fuselage . This couldd be achieved by removing /reducing the noise speckle from the cowl area. Also a reduction in the overall brightness of the 'silver' may help realism.
2 - The cockpit floor is suspiciously squeaky-clean - no scuff marks etc.
3 - The aircraft handles very well as expected of your work.
The above comments apply to both 'sims although the shine is better in FSX due to its advanced rendering of same.
Celebs ?? - please reveal rtheir names to us old codgers here.
Cheers

Dave,
Thank you for your comments, very much appreciated - as from all the others.
Silver on the cowl - the photos I have found of silver Proctors & Vega Gulls do not show polished metal, unlike some Miles aircraft.
Brightness of silver difficult - depends a lot on ones monitor setup.
Photos of HET also do not show any difference in gloss between metal & elsewhere either, so my preference is as is.
Carpets have just been hoovered - hence clean! (My previous attempts at creating heel scuff marks were terrible, so new out of the hangar instead)
