Hi Helen,

I hope you, your mother and family are keeping well. Nigel's post sums it up very nicely. We all miss Dave very much, but his spirit will always be here.

Take care.

Helen, I met another member of this forum in the flesh a couple of weeks ago, and your dad's passing came up in the conversation. Just the mention of it affected us in that brief moment, and we both shared a sharp sadness. He is missed, today as much as a year ago, and remembered with great affection. All the very best to you, your mum and your family.

Regards
Paul

Helen,

I can't really add anything to the very eloquent statement that the "other" Nigel has posted except to say we really miss Dave and pray that the passage of time eases your pain even though the memories will never vanish.

I have lost both my parents and not a day goes past when at some time or other I don't think of them. So you shouldn't. However the pain does ease and one accepts it. Do not feel guilty you feel sad that never leaves you but the hurt should and usually does. Keep in touch with us all.

Hi Helen,

I can only agree with all the previous posts.

Your Dad is one gentleman we all sorely miss here, and always will.

The pain eases with time, but you must hang on to, and treasure all the memories.

Best wishes to you all at chez Dave.

Hi Helen,

Sometimes, I post something on here and part of my mind still waits for Dave's response. He was often the first to respond and if I had been away for a while and wanted to catch up or ask a question, a PM to him was my first course of action and he would always respond and be very helpful. He is definitely missed here.

Btw, I was wondering, is my memory incorrect or did you come with him to Brooklands on the occasion of the last taxi of the Vickers Vanguard down the runway in May 2004? If so, I may have met you, although I very much doubt you would remember that!

regards

Toby
