Hi Chris, make sure you read the install instructions though it is really ABC to do but just make sure you copy your Resources Folder and place the copy somewhere safe. Thanks for that heads up Nigel. I think I'll get those.
I did not use True Lights though they are good but you could see traffic lights during the day and from a distance which to my mind spoil it nor did I try True Waves but may install at some point.
Dave, I felt exactly the same after buying it and thought I had made a huge mistake, the controls are very sensitive which made handling difficult but what I have done is gone into Plane Maker and after copying the aircraft and placing them into a backup folder started to alter some of the settings such as rudder movement and elevators as well as ailerons to make them turn and fly with a bit more stick movement but I have read that the forthcoming update to 11.30 Laminar are making quite a few changes and two of them are:Thanks for the HU Nigel, I'll give those a shot. At the moment I'm a bit underwhelmed by XP. Although it does have many good features, I'm finding it a bit disappointing.
Updated joystick config files to use sim/autopilot/servos_off_any.
and
New UI for manually setting joystick curves per axis.
So when that comes out I will replace the aircraft I fiddled with but keep them and put back the originals.
After a while and because it is completely different to that of FSX it did take me time to get used to but now I would not be without it, if you need any help or advice just ask and I am sure that somebody can point you in the right direction.
Regards
Nigel.
