Air Virginia British Aerospace BAe 748-B2

Post by Orbit44 »

Hi,

I've just uploaded a repaint of Air Virginia's British Aerospace BAe 748-B2 on the sim sites.

I used Rick's outstanding HS-748, and his paintkit to get the job done.

A couple of shots:

I believe Rick is working on an update of his HS748. Is that so?

Hi Ted
There is a reworked version on Rickoo site https://www.rikoooo.com/downloads/viewdownload/52/909
Upgraded with Ricks permission
It works fine in P3dv4
It has a few of the anomalies of the fs9 Just use the latest version Fraser's gauges. Still the best 748 about

Hi Dale,

Thanks for the tip. I have actually downloaded it already. Rick's is definitely the best 748 out there.

Regarding P3Dv4, I don't have it. I'd like to buy it, it looks like a world apart from FSX, but I think it won't accommodate all the classic airliners I've got on my rig. I'm talking about David Maltby's & Rick's classic British airliners, POSKY's 747-200/300s, Cantus and Ruth's great classic jetliners, etc.
A lot of them FS9 types. So, it's FSX for now I suppose.

Cheers.
Ted

Was sick of out of memory problems with Fsx No such issues with p3dv4. Would have probable gone to xp11 if it wasn't for the investment in fsx scenery and a/c, plus the similarity with fsx, makes the transition to p3d less painful
Any native Fsx aircraft will work in P3dv4 with the addition of a 64bit sound gauge
Many fs9 a/c have been successfully converted to run p3dv4. Bjoerns 1-11 https://sites.google.com/site/fsxstuffb ... s/bac-1-11
I've run David Maltby's Trident and Comet through MCX just for my personal use. They both work fine
Most Fsx scenery seems to work ok, but there are some exeptions :wasntme:

Dale, I'm interested to know where to get this "64bit sound gauge". Any place I can download it from?
If I can get the legacy aircraft to fly in P3D v4, I'll be next in line to buy it.

Here you go Ted, https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/5141 ... -released/ There's a link to Doug's site. Its just a matter of replacing the existing gauge and renaming Doug's gauge the same as the old one. There's a fair bit of info on sim sites about it.
Dale
Link to Doug's site seem broke. Try this https://www.douglassdawson.ca/
The gauge you need is the second one down
